Aamco fixed my problem with a $16.00 vacuum line hose! Instead of paying $4000.00 to another mechanic who told me I needed new fuel injectors and new transmission for the problems that suddenly started with 1987 Mercedes 420SEL, AAMCO found a broken vacuum line which fixed both problems and my car is now running perfectly.
I have used Aamco Mission Bay once but I would go back if I needed car repairs or maintenance. They rebuilt the transmission on my vehicle and did a great job. They communicated with me so I felt comfortable having my vehicle with them and now my car is running great!
They were prompt and responsive to all my questions. They rebuilt my transmission. They were extremely courteous, which is a big thing when you're spending that much on a transmission
I took my '04 Dodge Neon to the AAMCO Mission Bay for what turned out to be a major leak in transmission fluid, and I was very impressed with the service I received. All of the employees were very helpful and informative, but Gary in particular, answered all questions that I had and explained in detail everything that was contributing to my car's transmission problems. Gary and also Sam, the store manager, actually take time out of their busy schedules to treat each customer with care, genuine concern, and honesty. They also guarantee all repairs for 90 days. I would recommend coming here first before going anywhere else for any transmission-related issues.
To say that I am very impressed with AAMCO of Mission Bay would be an understatement. Sam and Mike did an excellent job of rebuilding the transmission on my VW Golf and did the job at a fair price. I took my car into AAMCO Mission Bay. It was acting up, and I was pretty sure it was a transmission problem. They said they would take a look at it and get back with me as soon as they could. Since it was going to take longer than I had planned for, one of the people in the shop volunteered to give me a ride back to my office, which I thought was incredibly nice. Unfortunately, it turned out to be my transmission. They did the job and fixed it quickly and efficiently and it's been running great since. That was my first experience with them, and it couldn't have been better! I would definitely go back and recommend them to anybody!
I had 2 or 3 other companies I was going to call, but I was sold on AAMCO Mission Bay when I was on the phone with them. They were really upbeat. I went in to talk to them, and I was super happy, so I had them rebuild the transmission in my 1994 Ford Explorer. They also put in a new radiator and had to do all the electrical work for the transmission. They rebuilt it from scratch. I took the car in on Wednesday and told them that I had to have it back on Friday. I am an umpire, and I had a game on Saturday. They got it back to me on time. Even when they told me they would call me with an update, they were never more than 5 minutes off the time they said. They were also within 5 minutes of 1:00 on Friday, which is when they said it would be done. To be honest, I was really amazed that they could get me in and out that quickly. The car is running great. There was a little problem with it shifting initially, but I took it back and they put an additive in it. I think that the valve bank is a little tight, so the additive should take care of it. I don't see it as a problem, but they let me know they want me to bring it back in if it doesn't work itself out in several days. I was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes. I am very impressed with them.
The people at AAMCO Mission Bay were extremely personable. They were really helpful and informative. They cut me in the loop to let me know everything that was going on in my car, even when I was out of town. I was overall satisfied with the service I have received from AAMCO Mission Bay. They rebuilt my transmission for me. A friend of mine had looked up reviews, and AAMCO Mission Bay was one of the highest rated companies so I thought I would check them out. For myself personally, I've been to a lot of places where I have been taken advantage of and they don't really put me first. I can tell I am not first as the customer but instead second to the money I will be paying them. AAMCO Mission Bay however, took an interest in me and let me know everything that was going on. I felt like they wanted me to understand everything. It was a great experience with AAMCO Mission Bay. Gary at AAMCO Mission Bay really made all the difference!
AAMCO Mission Bay did a transmission rebuild for me. Everything went well. The time that it took to get my car back was a little long, he had just quoted me it would be done one day, but ran into something and it was done a day later. Since it was a transmission rebuild I understand it would take a bit longer. Overall I was happy with their work.
Had an issue with my 1997 Audi A4 thinking it was the transmission. Took it to these guys, Mike helped me at the front desk. I told him my situation. They took a look at it, said the transmission was fine, the problem was in the electrical box. Was honest about there prices and service. Thanks again, my car feels like it runs brand new.
Still have an oil leak. It seems like they don’t want to fix it.. maybe not worth the time… not sure but they said they fixed it. Two different aamco stores seen it and walked away from it.. what is going on here.

Sam and Geo were awesome during a time of stress. Our Ford Focus transmission control module failed which is a common problem and the car would not drive. They tried several rebuilt units since new ones are on a long back order and some how got a new one. Problem solved. Thank you for your persistence and great service.
